Overcast this AM and cool. Sunny and mid 80s in afternoon. Slept in this morning, then went to some hobby shops to pick up some trinkets for the geocache hides we intend to place when we get home. WalMart for other stuff as usual. The internet here has been worse than I thought yesterday… likely because the park is full of big rig 5th wheels.. many pulled by F-550 modified haulers or big Volvo rigs.
But the office
offered a WiFi option… They have DSL available to all the phone lines that go
to the sites. For $7.00 per week they
rent you a DSL modem.. which you then connect to your PC with an eithernet
wire.. Great.. so at WalMart I picked up a Belkin wireless router for only $29.95
and hooked that to the modem.. so now we get excellent WiFi on both computers,
the tablet and our phones… Phone wire from park pedestal to "input" outlet in the rig. Then phone wire from phone outlet in the rig to the modem. Then modem to WiFi router. The park said it is a lot cheaper and better than
investing in upgrading their wireless system.
I would expect more parks to be doing this.. so I have a spare router
and can carry it in the RV.
The bridge that crosses the stream is a good place to see the fish.. Water is quite shallow and just below me were these catfish I think. They looked to be about 1 1/2 feet long.
Just read and
walked this afternoon.. The dog park is very nice but our two don’t seem to
care. They just stand around I did make a note of the sites
that have the best shade.
In order of
that, not paying attention to the cost of the sites but just the summer shade:
6066, 6065,
6039, 6071, 6040, 6095,
6088. Good for future reference.
According to my log, this will be the 285th night we have spent in this RV since getting it in Oct 2006.
